		<description>Yeah, I don&#039;t know. The classic example in Ontario is McGuinty&#039;s first election which he lost on the Tories&#039; &quot;Just not up to the job&quot; ads in 1999. He managed to overcome that in 2003, after the electorate got really, really tired of the Conservatives and Ernie Eves provided no new spark.

I&#039;m also not convinced that Canadians value typical &quot;strong leader&quot; qualities particularly highly. Chretien&#039;s popularity was arguably never higher than when he *lost* the Liberal leadership, but was &quot;first in our hearts.&quot; Awww. There&#039;s a big part of the mushy middle that could warm to the serious, unphotogenic, Dalton-voting, awkward type of politician that Dion is.</description>
