		<description>The pigeons actually worked extremely well but the military couldn&#039;t take it seriously in the end.  Orcon replaced Project Pigeon but by then electronics were on the come up and then it was abandoned for good.  Skinner also found that if the birds were fed hemp seed instead of grain they remained more calm during simulated combat.</description>
