Not only did that little boy get shafted on the toy situation, but he gets some bastard collecting fat royalty checks every January, after a month of cashing in on his scarred memories. I'll bet I can guess who the gun toting Rio drug dealer was who "mistakenly" took a shot at Santa in the ghetto bird. If I were him, I'd have a nasty habit and a taste for sweet holiday revenge too.....

Great post. But I think there's another explanation we need to consider: It's all spin. Maybe the boy was truly horrid, a rambunctious little so-and-so who was rightly deemed naughty by Santa and therefore shunned. We're only hearing one side of the story here, only have the boy's word to take for it (via a clearly paid-off Nat King Cole). And I don't buy the fatherless bit for one second. He's probably one of these Macaulay Culkin types who emancipated himself from his parents and now is milking it for sympathy.

Personally, I'd like to hear Santa's take on all this, the lost Christmas classic, "The Little Boy Who's Lucky I Don't Come Down There and... Ho, Ho, Ho!"
