It is, in fact, &quot;the orchid&#039;s out.&quot;  Apparently, in some families, there is this tradition of having a Christmas orchid, some others have a pointsettia.  Here&#039;s a website describing it. Really obscure, though.  Maybe the most obscure line in the whole Run-DMC calalogue:
