50 Cent endorses Hillary Clinton for Prez

Strangest. Endorsement. Ever.

Rap icon 50 Cent (or ‘Mr. Cent’, as the bizarrely awkward British reporter call hims in the video below) thinks Hillary Clinton should be the next president:

Just to break out that last comment for you:

“I don’t think America is ready for a black president. They might kill him.”

Yikes. It’s hard to get any political mileage out of the “X should be president because they are less likely to be assassinated” nod, no matter how popular the endorser is. Read the rest of this entry »

Video games more physiologically rewarding for men. That’s…why…I…can’t…stop…playing…COD4.

New research out today shows that men receive more neural rewards from playing video games, making them better gamers. It also means they get addicted to video games way more easily.

From the CBC:

In a brain-imaging study by Stanford’s school of medicine, researchers discovered that, when playing video games, the part of the brain that generates feelings of reward is more stimulated in men than in women. That helps explain why they’re more likely to get hooked, the study’s authors say.

Super Tuesday dawns. And CBC Radio muffs it.

American voters in 24 states are heading to the polls today, eager to participate in a primary season that has been- shockingly- extremely interesting. And up here in frozen, bereft Canada, we’ve all come down with a bad case of voter envy. I wish I could choose from a slate of historic candidates. Instead, I’ve got to settle for Dion, Harper and Layton, the political equivalent of the Siberian Taiga.

Unfortunately, voter envy is driving some folks a little mad. Like Andy Barrie and the entire producing staff of CBC Radio One’s Metro Morning. Collectively, they were responsible for the single most idiotic segment I have ever encountered on morning radio. Read the rest of this entry »
