Bush gets down with his bad self

He may be a terrible president, but it’s hard to deny he’s a man of the people. Any people. Anywhere. Apparently the Dubya Soul Train has taken US/Liberian relations to a whole new level. Of both groove and socio-political cooperation. Like they say- don’t just stand there, bust a move.

In case you needed another reason to kick Bill O’Reilly…

Here’s another dinger. On his weekly radio show, Captain Douchebag said he wouldn’t go on a ‘lynching party‘ against Michelle Obama ‘without evidence’. ‘Cuz, you know, evidence appartently makes lynching OK. Thank god people are holding him to account. Watch this: What a treat that asshat is. Nothing says ‘spectacular moron’ by using a lynching reference, [...]

UK Facebook use declines

Finally, some holes are appearing in Facebook’s non-stop growth mind control juggernaut armour. Little tiny holes. CNET reports that Facebook use was down 5 per cent between December and January. Apparently, people used the holiday season to actually spend time with their friends in person rather than creep their profiles. Makes a certain sense, I suppose. [...]

Satellite Shoot-Down Watch, Day 2: We have video

Fresh from the yawing jaws of the Pentagon comes this sexy infrared vid of a badly behaved satellite getting it’s comeuppance: Interesting that the missile was armed with a kinetic warhead, basically a solid mass that doesn’t actually explode. It just uses the massive energy of the missiles speed to shatter its target. Anyways, looks [...]

Satellite Shoot-Down Watch, Day 1.5: A hit! A palpable hit!

The Washington Post reports that a missile fired from the USS Lake Eerie has hit the failing US spy satellite. According to the Pentagon, debris is already beginning to re-enter and burn up in the Earth’s atmosphere. No confirmation yet whether the primary target of the strike- a fuel tank filled with mega toxic hydrazine, [...]

Oh, CIA. You hated Castro so much.

As Fidel Castro steps down as Cuban leader, it’s important to take some time and remember his true legacy: over half a century of hare-brained schemes to kill him. CNN has assembled some of the best assasination plots. Here’s my favourite: Booby-trapped seashell The idea was to take an unusually spectacular seashell that would catch [...]

Corn starch and water = the most entertaining shaking fluid in a petri dish video you’ll see all year

I don’t write about corn starch a lot on this blog, mostly because it always struck me as completely boring. Until I saw this: Apparently, corn starch and water make ‘silly water’, or possibly a hyper-intelligent blob creature. Either way, hours of fun for the whole family. Additional fun fact: Amylophagia is a form of Pica [...]
