By now, you’ve probably heard about the Lufthansa flight that nearly crashed in Hamburg due to 150Km/h winds. Now watch the video!
Just to run that back for you:
- Plane appears to be flying sideways.
- Plane scrapes left wing.
- Plane bounces off runway.
- Ninja pilots get plane back in the air.
Thanks to the skill of the pilots, the plane was able to land safely the second time around. Whoa.

You know, I really gotta think that this is one of those situations where “if at first you don’t succeed, try ,try again” doesn’t really fit. I mean if they just about kicked the bucket on the first landing wouldn’t they, I don’t know, fly to an airport without a tornado?
