Mars: another place you probably don’t want to go skiing

OK, this is just cool. The Mars Reconaissance Orbiter, almost completely by chance, has captured some amazing images of Martian avalanches.
To put the landslides in perspective, that’s a whole lot of rock and and ice rocketing down a 700m slope. In geological terms, that’s a spicy meatball. Click through for more pictures.
