News to me, but apparently Barack Obama has a whole slew of long-lost brothers, offspring of his father and a local woman known only as ‘Jael’.
The youngest sibling, George Hussein Onyango Obama, lives in a shantytown. He claims to exist on less than $1 a month.
Whoa.
He doesn’t admit to being related to his famous older brother, and has only met Barack twice- once when he was five, and again on the presidential candidates African tour in 2006. George does, however, have a picture of Barack on the walls of his tiny house.
George plans to attend a technical college in the upcoming months. But his life is still far, far removed from his brother’s. Here is a particularly chilling quote:
“I have seen two of my friends killed. I have scars from defending myself with my fists. I am good with my fists.”
Yowza. There but for fortune, eh Barack?
