New GnR single…on Rock Band 2?

Well, someone tell Lucifer to turn on the furnace. It’s bound to get a little cold down there, now that we have the first “official” single from Axl Rose/GnR’s long-delayed opus, Chinese Democracy.

The angle? Axl has decided to release it through Rock Band 2. Have a listen:

A bit of sonic departure for GnR. Apparently, Axl is taking the band in a new direction: away from “good” music and towards “another piece of my youth just died” music. Neat!

Greatest. Interview. Ever.

This is possibly the greatest two minutes of interview-based footage ever. I suspect this came out a while ago, but it deserves to be enshrined here on Nunc Scio. For as long as my servers continue to draw power.

Listen to the sweet glorious music as an Aussie senator attempts to explain the finer points of a 1991 oil spill:

I’m not sure if all Australian politicians talk like they’re in a Monty Python sketch, but I’m sure glad this one does. In fact, this is so bizarre, I half suspect it’s a gag. Anyone have any insight on this?

And special thanks to DS for the link.

UPDATE: Thanks to some intrepid research by one MN, it looks like these guys are actually a comedy duo- Clarke and Dawe.
