Sometimes it feels like our neighbour to the south never notice us up here in Canuckistan. But if say a VP candidate looks like a porn star, as the CBC’s Heather Mallick did, Fox News will start paying all kinds of attention.
Observe:
Oh man. Sure, Mallick’s article is over-the-top and touch beyond the pale. But watching the anchor lose her mind over the article is all kinds of entertaining. Also fun: misnaming the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (Company), repeating “it’s taxpayer funded!” like some bizarre mantra, and the fact that Fox thinks this is a story at all. A lot of Canadians don’t like Republicans? Scandal! Send in the tanks!

First – I’m GLAD my “tax payer dollars” pay for articles like this.
Second – I love, love, love how ANGRY she gets about a opinion peice, which she has so obviously mistaken for a political analysis article.
Third – that guy is amazing. So cool and level headed. It makes the interview so awesome.
Fourth – Fox News can eat it.
I think the interviewer looks a little more like a porn star then Palin. That’s just my politically objective analysis of course.
Interesting how it’s terrible and offensive and awful for one Canadian woman to voice her own opinion on a website re: Palin, but yet it’s perfectly fine for Tina Fey to go on TV in front of MILLIONS of Americans and sa essentially the exact same things. What’s the difference?
SassAFrass, I second everything that you said.
I love how the name that Heather Mallick called Bristol was ‘pramface’. Hat tip to the British for coming up with such a deliciously specific and wonderful insult.
My high school was full of pramfaces.
