Principal Williams is a short-sighted lazy decision maker - and ultimately this will only impact the Community and University where it matters most.

Their wallets.

I never went to Homecoming as a student (I always had to work that weekend it seemed) and never managed to go back as an alumni. It's too bad, but I understand why they did it. Darn kids indeed.

Since the Aberdeen party was already unsanctioned, what's stopping them from organizing an unofficial homecoming party on Aberdeen? Nothing! You know it will happen.

I think Queen's should've tried barricading Aberdeen Street as a first measure, or only allowing people with student/alumni cards into the area. The majority of the people causing problems are students from other schools.
