the war on idiocy
This just in.
About a month ago, I reported on a couple of parents who gave their children Nazi-themed names: Adolf Hitler Campbell, Joycelynn Aryan Nation Campbell, and little Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell (a feminization of Heinrich Himmler).
Now, reports are coming in that little Adolf, Jocelynn and Honszlynn have been removed from their home by child protection services. No reason was given the removal, and the lcoal police chief indicated they had not received any reports of abuse or negligence.
Interesting. Watch this space for more updates. And thanks the GM for the link.

I hope, strangely, that they have evidence the kids are being beaten or sexually abused. That is reason to remove them from their parents.
Giving kids names that are offensive is not grounds and a very bad precedent.
Yeah, good call. It’s tricky to justify a removal on the grounds of offensive names.
Forcing your views of hate an intolerance is just as serious as physical beatings. Perhaps some of these “ideals” made their way to a school ground discussion and caused alarm?
Have you ever considered the fact that these names would have been well known for a long time before this minimum wage baker saw fit to call Child Protection? What about the doctors and nurses at the hospital. The children’s Pediatrician. The schools they may have attended. With no report of abuse I see no grounds for removing these children’s from their home. The parents did not break any laws that we know of, did not put these children in harms way and in fact, were doing what most parents do, preparing for a birthday party for one of their children, a loving and nurturing gesture. I am shocked and appalled that Americans are willing to sit back and allow the government to strip away our constitutional rights without a fight. We get the government we deserve.
