Japanese man unluckiest/luckiest guy alive

mushroomcloud-nagasaki

Tsutomu Yamaguchi had a bad week.

He was in Hiroshima on August 6, 1945 on a business trip when the world’s first nuclear bomb exploded over the city. He suffered serious burns, and spent the night in hospital. He then returned home.

His home was in Nagasaki. On August 9, 1945, he got to experience his second nuclear bomb blast. Miraculously, he survived again. Mr. Yamaguchi is now Japan’s only certified double-nuke survivor.

Think of it: you’re unlucky enough to experience two nuclear bombs in two different cities. But at the same time, you manage to survive a double-dose of the most powerful force known to man. Incredible. He must have been cursing/thanking his lucky stars every day for the past 64 years.
