I’m choosing to invoke the spirit of old school Graeme, who I assume might have said something like “I would rather drown in molasses, than read Ayn Rand.” I have not real basis for this assumption, as I don’t know how much old school Graeme knew about molasses, but I think the rest stands.

Now you know why the Fountainhead is fundamentally flawed. I couldn’t past that scene and was thus unable to ever see either of them as heroic from that point on. Just complete sociopaths.

At least for Tash’s sake, there’s nothing that messed up in Atlas.

So this is where I admit that I’m copying you (or rather you inspired me) and I’m reading Atlas Shrugged after years of saying I would. You know what I’ve decided? Ayn Rand needs to be read when you’re young and full of hope. At this point in my life, I’ve become cynical enough that when the “protagonists” succeed, it will be completely unbelievable to me that hard work wins over politics and the stupidity of the masses. *sigh*
