French foreign minister Bernard Kouchner believes France should prepare for war if Iran acquires nuclear weapons. Kouchner made the comments during an interview with RTL radio and LCI Television.
"We must prepare for the worst....The worst, sir, is war. We are preparing ourselves by trying to put together plans that are the chiefs of staff's prerogative [but] that is not about to happen tomorrow."
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Woah. Woah! France is throwing down the war gauntlet on Iran? Talk about playing against type. Or, at least the 'type', created by the American right-wing talkshow crowd. I'm willing to bet Koucher could out-dress, out-think and out-duel Bill O'Reilly any day of the week. En garde.
