Cloverfield: The film that keeps on giving

So, I saw Cloverfield last night, and I've got to say I really enjoyed it. Except for the motion sickness. Movie shot entirely with handicam + steak dinner + front of the theatre = trouble in your tummy. But yeah, good flick. It was a swift uppercut of a monster flick, a completely entertaining 90 minutes. It didn't try to be anything it wasn't, and delivered exactly what it promised. This, incidentally, is also why I liked Alien Vs. Predator, but I'll happily grant the title of 'better movie' to Cloverfield. I'm not going to throw any spoilers in, so go see it.

Leading up to the film's release, there have been all kinds of weird viral websites and promo gimmicks swirling around the interweb, creating a kind of fanboy/girl feeding frenzy. But for my money, the most interesting mystery of Cloverfield is the few seconds of static-y radio transmission at the end of the credits. At first, I thought it was just noise, but now it seems to be something a little more ominous:

So, what do you think? For my money, it sounds like "It's still alive". Cloverfield II, anyone?
