Ever seen Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror? You should. Despite being made in 1922, its a genuinely creepy flick. And about 98 per cent of that creepiness is due to Max Schreck who played the titular vampire. Despite playing such a prominent role, Shreck's life has been shrouded in mystery. So much so, many folks think he was actually a vampire (oooh. Method.)
But a new book is shedding a little light on Schreck. Far from being a monster, he was a quiet fellow who enjoyed walks in the forest. And had a ridiculous talent for playing the grotesque.
Anyways, I'll be checking this book out. Despite my preference for zombies, this is a little too tantalizing to ignore.
