For those of you who decry Canada's appointed senate as a ponderous anachronism, I give you the words of the illustrious Senator Marjorie LeBreton, commenting on Facebook being used to lobby against Bill C-10 (The new copyright bill):
Honourable senators, I have been asked about Facebook before. I never look at Facebook because I do not understand the technology. I think the concept is dangerous.
See? They're totally hip and...oh...wait...I mean...she said that? Really? Geez. Senator LeBreton, my grandmother is on Facebook. It may be time for you to join us all in the 21st century. Via Michael Geist.
