Christopher Hitchens gets waterboarded

This is why I like Hitch. He says a lot of things I disagree with (and a lot of things I support), but he'll always admit when he's wrong.

Last year, he wrote a Slate article suggesting that waterboarding- an interrogation tactic favoured by the USA- is not really torture. He was challenged on this point, and asked to undergo the procedure himself.

You can read about the experience here, or watch a disturbing video of Hitchens being waterboarded. His conclusion is simple:

"Believe me, it's torture."

If I wasn't convinced before, I sure am now. We need to make sure no one is ever waterboarded by the United States, or any other country, ever again.
